Tyreek Hill, at home, against the 18th ranked pass defense of the Denver Broncos should be enough to take down the top honors for the week. The Chiefs are currently carrying a 28 point implied game total, meaning four TDs, and considering Hill’s top 4 work inside both the 20 and 10 yard line, it only bolsters his chances of posting the top number on the slate.
Cooper Kupp has the easiest matchup, against the 32nd ranked Jacksonville defense, but chances are that, with the Rams being two touchdown favorites, that they might choose to limit Matthew Stafford’s exposure to being hit, thus lowering the ceiling for Kupp.
Brandon Aiyuk is in line to step into some Deebo Samuel target share against the 27th ranked pass defense of the Seattle Seahawks. Additionally, the Seahawks have the 11th best run defense, funnelling more of the 49ers effort, most likely, to the air.
Dionte Johnson is sixth in the league in targets with 107 despite playing one or sometimes two fewer games than his top ten brethren. He has a matchup with the Baltimore Ravens that should force Ben Roethlisberger to pass even more because of the weaker pass defense (24th) of the Ravens compared to their run defense (5th).
You might be surprised that Brandin Cooks is 12th in targets this season and now gets a Colts defense that crushes the run (3rd ranked defense) and has a 20th ranked pass offense. The Texans can’t run anyway, ranking dead last in both rushing offense and offensive line run blocking this season.
The Jets should be behind against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, so Elijah Moore has the opportunity to play some catchup against an Eagles pass defense that is ranked 23rd in the league. On the flip side, the Jets are ranked 26th against the pass, making Devonta Smith an interesting flyer this week.
